Get “Color Crazy” with J.Crew

There’s no doubt that a serious case of J.Crew fever has swept across the nation and cast a spell on fashionistas everywhere.  Am I being a tad dramatic?  Quite possibly.  Needless to say, J.Crew is on everyone’s  radar and for good reason.

You can probably imagine how I reacted to J.Crew’s latest video appropriately titled “Color Crazy.”  According to their mini documentary, J.Crew’s color creators invent more than 100 new hues each season.  They find inspiration in everything from “fruit and flowers to fine wine and office supplies.”  Believe it or not, you can watch the entire process unfold in less than two minutes.  And then watch it again!

Think about it, how many times have you flipped through a J.Crew catalog and absolutely, positively yearned for every single hue of a certain cashmere cardigan?  I can answer that:  countless.  Not only does color enlighten, but it’s a total game changer.

Get your daily dose of J.Crew with these five must-have pieces that won’t require any hesitation!

J Crew Color Crazy

Perfect Shirt in Crosshatch Linen While the shirt itself is nice and breezy for spring, its name and color are even better.  If you’re a lemon lady, then you’re probably praising J.Crew’s design team for inventing such an utterly perfect hue.  Le sigh.

Collection Featherweight Cashmere Long-Sleeve Tee Don’t fret, it’s not time just yet to leave behind your beloved cashmere.  Thankfully, J.Crew has re-mastered their classic cashmere blend to be feather-light and perfect for those chilly April mornings.  Available in an un-wintry palette of colors like “neon peach,” spring is just one new cashmere layering piece away.

Fluted Skirt in Double Crepe For a skirt this daring, “pale citrus” is absolutely fitting.  The swingy yet structured silhouette and electric hue make it a showstopper.

3″ Chino Short One in each color, please!  Is it just me or do these “positano blue” chinos evoke an afternoon in the park – striped tee, straw fedora hat and all?!

Ava Suede Pumps Why of course J.Crew is on top of Pantone’s 2014 color of the year.  Duh!  Major brownie points as radiant orchid is oh-so-spring and those chunky pumps are simply stunning.

Are you color crazy?  What’s your favorite color featured in J.Crew’s Spring 2014 collection?
