Review: Organic India’s Moringa Leaf Powder is Superfood Royalty

I don’t know about you, but the idea of putting green powder in anything I eat used to freak me out. I was used to having my vegetables on one side of my plate and my fruits on the other. But as I started working out more and paid more attention to what I was putting into my body, I decided that I needed a little more green in my life.

That green came in the form of Organic India’s Moringa Leaf Powder. I know what you’re thinking–leaf??? That seems a little extreme. I assure you that it’s not. This nutrient-packed superfood from Organic India is the perfect way to give your health that extra oomph it needs without going to extremes. The Moringa Oleifera (Moringa) plant is called the “Tree of Life” because it is one nature’s most nutritious foods. The powder in the Moringa leaf contains over 90 nutrients and 46 antioxidants along with essential amino acids.

“Consider this,” says Natural Healthy Concepts, “when you compare Moringa to other foods–it contains more Vitamin B12 than steak, more calcium than cow’s milk and more vitamin A than eggs.”

Honestly, if you’re new to this whole plant supplement thing, many organic green powders will do. Just go to your local Whole Foods or other health stores to pick some up. I just find that this one in particular blends seamlessly with my smoothies and acai bowls works for me and doesn’t taste too much like, well…plant.
