‘N SYNC Might Reunite at The VMA’s

On August 20, the New York PostBillboard  and a slew of other media outlets had all informed me of the most glorious news I have ever heard: ‘N SYNC might reunite at this Sunday’s VMA’s. But much to our dismay, band member Lance Bass informed us of some heartbreaking news: the reunion probably won’t happen. There was speculation that Justin Timberlake, Joey Fatone, Lance Bass, J.C. Chasez, and Chris Kirkpatrick were going to be reuniting on the VMA’s stage at the Barclays Center this Sunday, August 25th. If ‘N SYNC indeed was to perform on Sunday, it will be 9 years since they last performed together—since 2004!

Lance  addressed the rumor on his show, Dirty Pop with Lance Bass, explaining that the rumor started because Justin Timberlake will be receiving the Michael Jackson Vanguard Award and fans may have thought  ‘N Sync would be reuniting with Justin onstage. Lance also explained that the rumors may have sparked due to an  that he posted with former band mates Chris Kirkpatrick and Joey Fatone at a recent JT concert. (Listen to Lance address the rumor here.)

However, when a guest on Lance’s show stated that fans should “start demanding a reunion”, Lance neither confirmed nor denied, stating, “That would be an amazing time.”  Sigh. Lance, you’re tearin’ up our hearts.

Although we still can’t come to terms with this rumor being false, we can still dream! This rumor has ‘90s kids in a nostalgic frenzy. What better cure than taking a walk down memory lane.

“Bye Bye Bye” was released in 2000. Just let that sink for a second. Their album No Strings Attached sold 2.42 million copies in the first week!  Do you remember learning all the words and the dance moves to “Bye Bye Bye”?

Not to mention, the boy band had the coolest apparel and games that you can play for hours with your BFFS. Like this ‘N Sync Hotline game where you can “call” the singers.

Oh, and by the way, you can still buy this ’90s phone !

And for your final  ’N Sync throwback, here is  “I Want You Back.”

I was a HUGE NSYNC fan! I saw them in concert twice. I still love JT and all those amazing NSYNC songs.
