Washington, D.C. may be known as the epicenter for democracy, freedom, and all things American… but music? The Morrison Brothers Band looks to change that. Brothers Truman and Willie Morrison formed the band, creating a fusion of southern rock and country. This summer they will release their third studio album, “State of the Union” To celebrate, they’ll be putting on .

“We have Paul Pfau and Jenny Lee, two extremely talented local artists, opening for us… The show on July 11th will be our CD release party, where we will be debuting a number of our new original tunes… we could not be prouder of the product, and are really looking forward to seeing the reaction from our fans,” Willie said.

Gearing up for a summer of gigs around the East Coast, including opening for Tim McGraw and the Spin Doctors, the 9:30 Club performance promises a great preview of the band’s new work. Drawing inspiration from the Black Crowes, John Mayer, and Zac Brown Band, it’s set to be a packed house.

For the most up to date information on the show, follow the band on and and check back with Sweet Lemon for their single’s music video debut of “Little Miss Whiskey”.
