Great news, music fans – there is life after Lolla! Even as summer fades to fall, the music festival refuses to quit. Mainstream and diverse alike, these events are promising the coveted festival atmosphere and unparalleled lineups. Check out these five upcoming music festivals for the start of fall:
The Brooklyn Music Festival
Much like Brooklyn itself, this music festival promises an eclectic lineup. Hoping to turn this debut day of music and entertainment into an annual event, the festival has lined up homegrown New York sound and fused it with Japanese Gypsy Rock and reggae pop. The lineup includes Nina Sky, DJ Ray Vazquez, and Brooklyn-based Anaka and (I am) Isis. The first annual Brooklyn Music Festival is sure to keep things interesting!
August 24; Aviator Sports & Events Center, Brooklyn
Who better to spend the end of summer with than Mrs. Carter herself? Beyoncé is headlining Budweiser’s Made In America Festival in Philadelphia this Labor Day Weekend, and she’s brining a lot of friends. This two day event is stacked performances by Nine Inch Nails, Calvin Harris, Kendrick Lamar, 2 Chainz, and Macklemore & Ryan Lewis – just to name a few. You can purchase day-long or two-day passes. Whatever BBQ you thought would help you celebrate the end of summer? Think again.
August 31 & September 1; Benjamin Franklin Parkway, Philadelphia
Some of the biggest names in music are working together towards a good cause. Stevie Wonder, Kings of Leon, Alicia Keys, and John Mayer will headline this New York City concert put on annually by Global Citizen. The campaign promotes education, women’s equality, health, and the end of extreme poverty throughout the world. Sign up to become a global citizen, take action, and enter to win one of the 27,000 free passes they’re giving away to the show.

Some of the biggest names in music are set to take on Las Vegas again in this year’s iHeartRadio Music Festival. JT, Katy Perry, Drake, and Sir Elton John himself will be, over two days, tearing up the MGM Grand Garden Arena. Check out the full list of performers including Ke$sha and Benny Benassi. Tickets may be sold out, but there are still ways to win your entry!
September 20 & 21; MGM Grand Garden Arena, Las Vegas
Austin City Limits Music Festival
“Keep Austin Weird.” We’ve all heard this cultural battle cry, and for a two weekends this October, some huge names in music will be singing it. Passion Pit, Kings of Leon, Lionel Richie, and Kendrick Lamar will be some of the bigger names taking the stage. But in true Austin fashion, this festival has found a place for up-and-coming, off-the-beaten-path bands. Haim, The Weeks, Noah and the Whale, and Valerie June will all be keeping Austin City Limits weird as well.
October 4-6, October 11-13; Zilker Park, Austin
Will you be heading to any of these music festivals this fall?
