If you’re any sort of foodie, surely you have by now heard about the famed cronut from Dominique Ansel’s New York City bakery. You’ve heard that hungry New Yorkers wait in line for over an hour before the shop opens, just to get their hands on one of these flaky layered pastries with the characteristic donut hole. You’ve certainly also heard that the place often puts out over 200 of the decadent treats by 9 a.m.!
What you may have missed, however, is Ansel’s newest creation. The talented pastry chef constantly dreams up new ideas, and he recently received some inspiration on a trip to Istanbul. Here, he discovered a chewy Turkish ice cream called dondurma. His culinary genius certainly struck again as he decided to encase a traditional vanilla ice cream center – surrounded by a layer of chocolate wafer – in a mixture of marshmallow and the dondurma to create . . . a frozen s’more! Is your mouth watering yet, Lemon reader?
Is it even possible to further perfect this creation? Put it on an applewood smoked hickory stick so that you feel like it’s fresh from the campfire – even though they are torched to order in-house!
Ansel has combined two summer American traditions, ice cream and s’mores, into one delectable treat! Does it get any better than this?

The only thing that would make these delectable treats even better is if they would make them where I live!!
