When it comes to skin care products with sea worthy ingredients, chances are that really expensive company, that has been owned by the Estee Lauder company since 1995, comes to mind. Often touted by movie stars and bearing a fancy Frenchy name, it’s most popular cream is priced at about $150 an ounce. A little too pricey for my blood, and wallet, thank you very much. So, today I’m sharing some of my favorite oriented skin products, that are a bit more wallet friendly.
Osea Undaria Algae Oil is a marine based oil that contains sea minerals to tone, and omega fatty acids to address redness and inflammation, along added vitamins to repair icky damage inflicted by our environment. As if all that goodness does not pack enough power, it also contains seed oils of acai, babassu, passion fruit, and sesame. The star of the show, the actual Undaria Seaweed, is soaked in the oils for at least 6 months before it gets to your door. I use this as an all over body moisturizer and sometimes mix it with a thick cream for an over night foot treatment. Just apply liberally and add socks.
is my new favorite sea soap. It has a fresh scent that I love and you can even see the seaweed pieces with your naked eye, and it does have an exfoliative quality. About once a week I use it on my face at night, as a break from my normal cleanser and apply serum as I would normally. It gives me glowing skin at a fraction of the price of the French brand mentioned above.
If you haven’t tried sea beauty, it’s time for you to hop aboard the bandwagon. You’re in for a glorious ride. Think about it; have you ever seen a mermaid that wasn’t beautiful?
