The first time I heard the beautiful voice of Sam Smith was in Disclosures track, “Latch.” The words “you lift my heart up when the rest of me is down” melted my heart. This 21-year old British singer/songwriter produces the most heartwarming songs that just touch you in everyway! I would listen to “Latch” over and over again just moving to the beat by Disclosure with a permanent smile on my face and heart. Then, I came across Sam Smith singing the song acoustically on his YouTube channel. The song suddenly had a different meaning. The first time I heard it, it was catchy with his beautiful lyrics, versus the second time (acoustically) where the song became emotionally beautiful.
He hasn’t stopped there, he released two new songs “Safe With Me,” which too demonstrates how beautiful his voice is, and you fall in love with the song every time you listen to it. And the second song which will be featured in his debut EP on October 7th , here it is:
