Katy Perry’s “Unconditionally” Music Video is Unbelievable

We’re singing Katy Perry’s newest single non-stop. After her record-breaking hit “Roar” (which has gone platinum in many countries so far), Perry released “Unconditionally.” With her catchy lyrics and the emotional music video, we swear you’ll be just as hooked as we are. Perry explained to MTV that her newest single was inspired by the unconditional love she saw when she traveled to Madagascar with UNICEF:

“…And so I went to the top of this mountain, I saw all these children, and the love that they had towards each other, they had no idea what Twitter or Facebook or any of that stuff was, they didn’t care about it…It was this unconditional love between all of them. It was that kind of pure love that’s unaffected by the trends of the world” (MTV).

Perry’s video is filled with visually breathtaking images — exploding cars, flowers and herself on fire like Katniss Everdeen. The time period costumes the dancers wear takes you back in time to Renaissance times and the 1920s. The video also includes a bed on fire, and a mother and child. This video is unlike any video we’ve seen before from Perry. From the video and lyrics to the emotional voice she carries throughout the song, Perry’s single will instantly become another hit.
