Girls Who Rock: The “It” Female DJs

When putting together the recipe for the perfect party or event, the music plays a big part (no pun intended!) in both getting things started and keeping the vibe going – sometimes long into the night. Not only must the tunes fit the occasion, but if they’re being spun by a stylish and talented “it” girl, so much the better! I’m showcasing some of the ultra hot female DJs currently in demand for primetime spinning gigs in the U.S.

Alexandra Richards

Primarily known for being the offspring of the Rolling Stones guitarist Keith Richards and supermodel Patti Hansen, has carved out her own niche as a model, DJ and artist in NYC. Hired for magazine parties and club and fashion events, Alexandra still considers modeling her main gig and explains that she DJs for fun.

Hannah Bronfman

Featured in a recent issue of Elle, is a New Yorker constantly on the move. She spins for private parties and the hippest clubs in addition to being part owner of one of New York’s trendiest restaurants, Acme. She’s also co-creator of the Beautified smartphone app, where you can schedule beauty appointments just in the nick of time with no hassles! She’s woman after my own heart.

Harley Viera-Newton

London-born  is a model and DJ (seems to be a theme, right?) currently thriving on American soil. Known for both her style and her ability to rock a room, she has the ultimate stamp of cool, being repped by Jay-Z’s RocNation. Her website shares her love of fashion and music – and tells fans where to find her next gig!

All these ladies have style, beauty, and brains – and obviously, they can bring the house down behind a turntable. Music makes the people come together, indeed.
