Glover Park’s Newest Haunt: Arcuri

Since I have lived in the District for quite some time now, I’m always looking for new places to grub in my neighborhood. Thus, I was really excited when I heard about Glover Park’s newest haunt, Arcuri, which just recently opened (taking the place of the old Kavanaugh’s Pizza- R.I.P.). Located at 2400 Wisconsin Avenue, this place offers just about everything you could want, but most importantly: wine and prosecco… on tap. Yep, you heard me right. Can you believe such a thing exists? Heaven on earth, if you ask me…. (and probably ever other girl in the DC area, right?)

I experienced Arcuri for the first time last Thursday with some college friends who were visiting for a wedding. I was a little weary when we sat down and I saw the limited menu (it was only the soft opening last week), but once I read the options, I was more than excited for the meal ahead. We ordered the mussels, fried mozzarella, and kale salad for appetizers (whatever the dressing was on the salad was so delicious). For our entrée, we split the pizza with prosciutto, arugula, tomatoes, and mozzarella… sounds yummy, eh? It was so good that I was talking about it for a few days after… sad, I know, but in my opinion, it was that delish.

Beginning this past Saturday, the restaurant began offering their full menu, which means that I will just have to go back ASAP to see what else Arcuri is offering… and enjoy some prosecco, of course. Who wants to join me?!

Check it out on Yelp if you don’t believe me (5 stars so far).
