Will Party For Non-Profits

HoG gala

Hey NYC readers, here’s your chance to get your party on – and do it for a good cause. Hearts of Gold is a non-profit organization that fosters sustainable change in lifestyle and levels of self-sufficiency for homeless mothers and their children. Founded in 1996 – HoG has raised more than $2 million to support four city shelters operated by Nazareth Housing and Semiperm HDFC. Shout out to my wonderful friend Shelby for turning me on to this amazing cause.

Now for the fun part: The celebrity-endorsed Gala and after party are set for Friday, November 16th. That means that all you working girls that go home and snuggle up with your Pillow Pet and whatever episode of How I Met Your Mother can’t say you can’t go because you have work tomorrow (you know who you are). Tickets are $50 – which gets you open bar from 10:30PM to 1AM. In other words, two hours of booze and a chance to get down with celebrities like, one of my icons, CNN’s Soledad O’Brien, Tamara Tunie from “Law and Order,” and model Emme Aronson.

Here are the details:

When: Friday, November 16th from 10:30PM to 1AM
Where: Metropolitan Pavilion, 125W 18th Street, New York City
How to pay or donate: Contact Hearts of Gold @ (212) 206-1461or visit heartsofgold.org for more information.

Grab your friends and your tickets fast. If seeing out from behind her computer screen isn’t convincing enough, at least when you wake up that Saturday morning you can take solace in the fact that your hangover went toward a good cause.

Cheers, everyone! See you on the 16th!
