Carrie Bradshaw’s got a new gig

The woman who taught us to prioritize our footwear over our bank accounts is finally getting into the shoe biz. And how fitting that she’s doing it with longtime Manolo Blahnik CEO, George Malkemus. (After all, what was Carrie Bradshaw without her Blahniks?)

Vogue reported on Monday that the line — called SJP — will be available exclusively at Nordstrom early next year and will include bags, trenches, and of course, shoes.

Parker was previously the Chief Creative Officer at Halston Heritage, but quietly parted ways with the company in July 2011 with a simple, subtle line in Vogue and no official word from Halston.

“We’re putting new colors together that people don’t typically do, just beautiful combinations that you wish existed in your closet,” SJP said. Lucky for us, now we don’t just have to wish.

And as if this little morsel of fashion news couldn’t get any sweeter, SJP timed it right, too. Vogue reported the launch of the new line on the 15th anniversary of the premiere of Sex and the City on HBO. Can we get a collective awwww?

Looks like we have something new to save for. Besides, who needs money for apartment repairs when we’re all destined to date an Aidan who will someday inconvenience us with his DIY skills when practically begs to re-do our floors? Just like Carrie, we like our money where we can see it: hanging in our closets.

Clearly we love us some Carrie. What are your favorite SATC shoe moments?
