Sick of hospital shows with too many love triangles you can’t keep track of? How about those cop shows that are basically the same each and every week? Yeah, us too. Well, lucky for you guys (and us!) there is a new series on the horizon that looks more promising than ever – yippee! !Ever since we started seeing commercials for the USA Network’s ‘Playing House,’ we knew it was going to be a hit. With a tagline ‘2 friends. 1 baby. No clue.’ there’s no way this series couldn’t be relatable to the modern woman – and man!
‘Playing House’ centers around two childhood best friends, Emma and Maggie, played by Jessica St. Clair Lennon Parham, who are about to start on one of the hardest ventures in life: raising baby. No, this is (unfortunately) not a comedy about two lesbians, it’s a series that shows us what ‘BFF’ really means. After learning that Emma’s husband is leaving her for, to put it nicely, an athletic German woman (talk about a nightmare!), Maggie makes the big move from China and her fancy job to the team’s hometown of Pinebrook, Connecticut to help Emma take on this tough time in life. One could call this a real modern family, or just a new type of co-parenting. With an all star cast (did we spot Gabe from The Office?!) and a storyline that seems pretty hard to beat, it’s safe to say this show is destined for greatness.
Check out some of the trailers below for a sneak peek before the series airs on April 29th at 10PM on USA!
