When two worlds collide, great things generally happen. Recently, the world of interior décor and fashion design have collided with their love of lucite. Let’s just say it is love at first “cite”!
While this trend originally appeared in the late 1950s as part of the mod trend it is now back in full force. Lucite was spotted on the Spring 2013 Michael Kors runway and also made appearances at Donna Karen and Emerson. Jewelry designer Alexis Bittar has even built his empire on this clear plastic like material.
The trend doesn’t stop there though as not only are people incorporating lucite into their wardrobe but also their home. Design bloggers and interior decorators alike cannot seem to get enough of the lucite “louis ghost chair”.
