Atlanta Bites: Aja

I was in Atlanta a few weeks ago, and after shopping for a bit at Lenox, my friend and I were craving sushi. Now I’m not a sushi snob, but I do like to get the same thing (the first time I visit a new sushi restaurant) in order to use it as a ‘control’. I know… that sounds a little weird, but I’ve discovered a lot of great places. And if their tuna and salmon sushi isn’t up to par, I try not to visit again.

But after looking up close sushi restaurants, we stumbled into Aja. And as soon as we walked in we could see that it was a very posh, young-professional place to lunch and munch. We ended up getting a Dragon Combo and Pad Thai Noodles. The portion sizes at Aja are great and I highly recommend any of the combos and the pad thai.

Now it’s not to say that the sushi was the very best ever, but the atmosphere was an A+. The sushi was a B, maybe a B+… but this is literally my favorite ‘feeling’ lunch restaurant in Atlanta so far. It’s a great place to have a lunch business meeting and I’m sure it is a happening place for dinner as well.

I like to try out a place before I ever have a business meeting there, but Aja has my seal of approval!

What are your favorite local eats? Do you like to check out places before you have important meetings?
