Cold Weather Workout Wear

I readily admit that I am not one of those SoulCycle people, not that there is anything wrong with that. It’s just that I like to get outside for my fitness fix and when the weather turns colder, I, like everyone else, need that extra push to actually suit up, and get out there to get my workout in!

What I’ve learned over the years is that if you have the right clothing, no matter what the time of year, exercise is a breeze. Well maybe not figuratively, but sometimes literally so you need to make sure you are warm enough!

Here are a few of the best cold weather workout pieces, just waiting to keep you all warm and cozy through all your outdoor fall and winter workouts.

New Balance Women’s Windblocker ½ Zip

The colors are fun, so it makes you want to don this comfy jacket even if you are just going to the car wash on a Saturday morning, then meeting the girls for brunch, or showing your endurance in a Thanksgiving marathon or the like. Layering is key is colder weather and you can whip this off if need be in the middle of your workout.

Danskin Bootleg Pant

Sometimes it’s smart to go with the KISS (keep it simple, seriously) method when it comes to clothing, workout or otherwise. These pants fit the bill for outdoor exercise and also double as go-to for easy weekend wear. The mid-rise combats any chance of the dreaded panty peek, during your workout or as you unload groceries. Something you and others will be thankful for.

UnderArmour Women’s Heatgear Sonic Long Sleeve

Available in gorgeous bright shades and boasting Heatgear fabric to wick away moisture in a flash, this long sleeve tee will fast become part of your cold weather workout clothing arsenal. It also has technology to make it less stinky, which brings a smile to my face.

I love it when I can enjoy a rousing outdoor workout, look great while doing it and even wear some of my exercise clothes on the streets with more chic pieces to stretch my wardrobe. During my next workout I’ll be sure to pat myself on the back.

Great style and fitness can go together! I don’t have the time to get to the gym, find a sitter (or willing husband) and then drive home just for a workout. So I need to gear up for cold outdoor running too!
