Some of you may recall a certain post back in February on where to go in Dallas to get fabulous, big, Texas hair. But what is a girl to do if she doesn’t live in Dallas? Or–God forbid–her blowout bar is closed?

Drybar to the rescue!
As you may or may not have heard, Drybar recently launched its new line of hair care products specifically designed to give ladies that Texas-sized volume right at home. If you ask me, the line is pretty aptly named… introducing: Texas Tea.

Recently, the lovely ladies at Drybar sent me a set of the Texas Tea line. Volumizing Shampoo and Conditioner with a fabulous Volumizing Hair Spray? I’m addicted.
About the products: first off, they all smell amazing. The Texas Tea Volumizing Shampoo and Conditioner are both very lightweight–the conditioner in particular. I’m not going to lie: no, these products will not work miracles and instantly make your hair huge without you having to lift a finger… but, along with minimal styling and effort, they’ll definitely give you the (big-haired) results you want!
How do I use the products? I shampoo and condition as I normally would–even that alone makes my hair have more volume and become more pliable for styling. While my hair is still wet, I liberally spray the Texas Tea Volumizing Hair Spray throughout my hair, running my fingers through my hair constantly. After some towel-drying, I use a round brush and hairdryer on high heat to style my hair and give it some bounce (this is easiest to do if you section off your hair horizontally across your head) When I get to the top level, I spray a little more of Drybar’s Texas Tea Volumizing Hair Spray on my roots, using my fingers to work it into the roots a bit more. I then dry a piece from the top on the round brush with high heat, spray the roots with some of Drybar’s Money Maker Flexible-Hold Hairspray, and then brush through the piece with the round brush and the hairdryer on cool.
Final verdict: Drybar’s Texas Tea Volumizing Shampoo, Conditioner and Volumizing Hair Spray are heaven-sent. As they say, “the higher the hair, the closer to God.”
