Girl Crush on Madewell’s New Model: Caroline de Maigret

Ever since Madewell’s fall collection debuted, we’ve been crushing hard. Not only on the minimal chic pieces, but on the equally cool campaign cover girl, .

The granddaughter of a prince and daughter of Count Bertrand de Maigret, Caroline is no doubt considered royalty. You wouldn’t naturally classify her as such though, judging from her laidback Parisian style and down-to-earth approach to dressing (She buys secondhand Men’s tees for $5 or less).

Her modeling career has been far from short-lived, as she’s worked with the likes of Mario Testino, Karl Lagerfeld, and Vogue from 1994 to the present. In addition to her extensive career as a mannequin, Caroline also co-founded a rock music label, Bonus Track Records, and a publishing company, Yarock Editions, with her partner Yarol Poupad.

Not to mention, she juggles her thriving ventures with parenthood, as the mother to her 7-year-old son.

It goes without saying, we’re impressed.

Her packed resume is a sure sign of success and determination, but we’re also very much in awe with her personal motivation.

In an interview with RUSSH Magazine from January of this year, Caroline says, “The older I get the more I want to learn…My goal in life is to become an expert. For me it’s the most beautiful thing in the world.” Such a hunger for knowledge even after all of her accomplishments is a wonderful thing in itself.
