5 Fun Date Nights for Fall

Date night

I’m a serial monogamous. I mean I have legit spent more time in relationships than I have out of them. Don’t you dare judge me you singles, who have all this awesome fun and go on girls’ weekends and have amazing fun in Vegas and don’t spill the beans to your coupled friends who are dying for the juice!

Anyway, I digress. Here I am trying to offer you some fun date night ideas and you have me going on this rant about how much of a relationship harlot I am!

After the first six months, dinner and a movie can become a bit bland …and expensive! By now, however, you guys should know enough about each other to seek fun and creative things to do instead of staring at the big screen.

I absolutely love the fall for no other reason than how adorable I look in wool hats and suede boots (post to follow). Not to mention my boy toy rocks a mean suit. So we play dress up and head out for fun, non-traditional nights on the town.

Theater – Okay, I know I just said to avoid the theater, but not this  kind. We’re lucky enough to live in New York City so we have the illustrious Broadway a few minutes away, but no matter what city you’re in check out some of the local talent.

Art Gallery – I’m no connoisseur (please re-read and say with funny French accent), however, I love learning new things …and free wine. There is almost always  free wine at art galleries. At smaller galleries you get a chance to meet the artist who could possibly ignite your bourgeois connoisseur nose tip!

Live Music – Now, don’t go to a hardcore rock show or rap concert expecting to walk out saying “honey, that was so romantic.” Plan accordingly. Mellow, smooth music folks. And if you can’t dance, STAY IN YOUR SEAT.

Oktoberfest –
Pretty sure at least one bar in your town will be celebrating the holiday. Dress down (or in a sexy beer girl costume if that’s what you guys are into –not judging) and knock down a few pitchers. Not gonna lie, it’s hard to burp girlishly cute after the second bruski – just saying.

House Warm Up –
Get your home prepped for the cold winter nights with a small get together with some of your closest friends. Hosting a party with your beau is a way to get on each other’s last nerve with the preparation then make up and pretend to be couple of the century all evening. It’s fun, I swear. Like role playing but—never mind. Lay out some cheese platters and have a great night.
