Time to put your contact lenses away because it is all about the frames! Stylist and founder of Lula magazine, Leith Clark, is now lending her visual talents to Warby Parker. The ever-stylish Clark, who has also worked for Harper’s Bazaar UK and Vogue Italia as well as styled red carpet favorites Michelle Williams and Keira Knightley, has teamed up with Warby Parker to create a 1960s inspired eyewear collection.
The vintage inspired collection includes five dreamy styles that each embody their own personality and charm. And just when you thought the glasses couldn’t get any sweeter, the frames are modeled by Lula magazine’s fall/winter 2013 cover girl, actress and screenwriter Zoe Kazan, on WarbyParker.com.
Clark’s notes on her inspiration for the collection are just as whimsical as the collection itself. “I like the 1960s, librarians, nerdy girls. I like glasses you had when you were a kid — or that your dad wore when you were a kid — and wearing them now,” she writes. “I like Bergman. Big thick glasses on a little, tiny face. When there are etchings or engravings or magically made materials. I like pearls, brass, opera glasses. Everything being all violet. I like seeing the world with a pretty pink tint to it.”
All of the glasses in the collaboration are $145 and for every pair sold, a pair is given to someone in need. Additionally, a percentage from each sale will go to Girl Up, a United Nations Foundation campaign mobilizing American girls to raise awareness and funds for UN programs that provide life-changing opportunities to girls around the world. Glasses that look fabulous and support an amazing cause, what’s not to love about this collection?
We are definitely sweet on this retro chic collaboration and the feminine, quirky specs are irresistible. The Leith Clark x Warby Parker eyewear may even make you 20/20 lemon ladies hesitate on your next eye exam. Shop the collection today at WarbyParker.com.
